Today marks the 2018 Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. I find the summer solstice is a great opportunity to connect with nature and self and explore personal endings and beginnings, as well as the cycles of earth. I celebrate this day by being present and one of the ways I do that is through meditation. I found the lovely guided meditation below online and I find that it's a great way honor the day and connect to my inner self. Thanks to the individual who created it at www.mariarinne.com.
In addition to celebrate the day, I will create an altar to honor the changing of the seasons. My altar will include symbols for letting go of what I need to shedd from winter and spring as well as symbols for the energy and focus I would like to bring into my life and home this summer and fall. I will also take time to note and honor all that I am thankful for today including the challenges I've faced, what I have learned and all of the wonderful things about my life.
Do you celebrate summer solstice and if so how?
